1 November: Brainware Santa Dash
The Brainwave Santa Dash is taking place again this Christmas on the 9th
December at Birchwood shopping center. The Santa Dash is a festive family
event open to all ages and aims to raise money for the Brainwave charity.
The Brainwave charity supports children with disabilities and developmental
delay to achieve life- changing skills and greater independence.

PremierPhysio is offering Warrington Road Runners members a 10% discount

We are re-launching our Facebook group as a closed group in which only members of Warrington Road Runners are invited to join (see the members area on the menu". Information on how to join is on our Guide to Facebookpage.
Cross Country Training - Town Park, Saturday 9:30am
There will be a Cross Country training on Saturdays over winter at 9:30 am.
The training will be based at the Runcorn Town Park Cross Country course, meet at the Ski centre (WA7 6PT) for 9:30am.
The format much the same as previous years in that we will start with a warm up lap followed by some interval sessions on three sections of the course concluding with a warm down. For those who have time ski centre should be open for a coffee afterwards.
Best to train in appropriate footwear, spikes if you have them or trail type trainers otherwise any trainer that you don‘t mind getting wet and muddy.

Helsby Half Marathon, Sunday 20th January 2013
Entry to the Helsby Half Marathon was opened on the 1st October. As of 23/10/2012, here are already 1900+ entrants, so you need to entry quickly, see the Helsby Half Marathonpage for more details.
Mark & Mhairi Wedding, 28th September
Congratulations to Mark and Mhairi who got married on the 28th September in the Lake District.
We wish them all the best for the day and for future married life together.
Quiz Night - Friday 21 September
All WRR club members and friends are invited to meet on Friday 21st September
at the Walton Arms (near Walton Gardens). We will sort out teams on the night, leave your trainers at home

Winter Routes
As the nights are drawing, the club will revert to the Tuesday winter routes on the 11th September. There is a new proposed Tuesday winter route this year and is illustrated here. For all route descriptions see the training page. Please remember to wear hi visibility clothing when running in the dark.

There are two road relay races coming locally that we as a club could take part in;
NORTH WEST COUNTIES ROAD RELAYS
Marbury Park (CW9 6AT), nr Northwich on Saturday 15th September
Start 1:15pm Senior Women - 3 legs x 5400m
Start 2:30pm Senior Men - 4 legs x 5400m
(Mixed Teams Allowed)
MEN'S SIX STAGE ROAD RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Leigh Sports Village on Saturday 22nd September Start 2:00pm - 6 legs x 6K
We would like to enter team(s) in both events.
The club enters each team and will pay the entry fees.

25th August: 2012-2013 Cross Country Dates
The dates for the cross country season have been announced. WRR will be having a break this year from hosting a race and will be replaced by a run at Stadt Moers hosted by Knowsley Harriers. More information about cross country can be found on our cross country page.
