English (Warrington) Half Marathon - Recce Runs
In the build-up to the English Half Marathon which is on 21st September we are going
to have 2 club recce runs of the course.
Recce #1 Sat 30th August, 10:00am (after the Warrington Parkrun)
Recce #2 Sun 7th September, 9:00am
Meet in Victoria Park car park.
The runs will be done in pace groups (similar
to our Tuesday club runs). You can choose
whether to run the full course or use a cut-off.
See two suggestions below which when
combined reduce the route to about 8.5miles.
- Cut-off #1 (Saves 1.5 miles): After 3.5 miles of the race route, at the top of Broad Lane (don't turn left onto Cartridge Lane) continue on to the roundabout and rejoin the race route.

Cut-off #2 (Saves 3 miles): After 6 miles (or 4.5 if you did cut-off #1) in Appleton Thorne at the Thorne Inn (don't continue on to Stretton) turn right down Lumb Brook Road and re-join the race route. Link to race route (from 2012) http://connect.garmin.com/activity/220531969.
June 2014 - Warrington 10K Race
This race is our club's main source of income. We need club member's support by marshalling on the night and helping in the preparation.

Course Recce #1 - 7:00pm Tuesday 3rd June.
Tuesday training session will move to Woolston Park for 1 day only on 3rd June. Meet at the Rangers hut off Somerset Way, in Woolston Park for a run around the 10K course
For those that want to run longer on 3rd June it is easy to add additional ~5k laps. This can be decided on the night.
- Course Recce #2 - Sun 8th June (10am). A second chance to check out the course.
WRR Weekend Away - 13th to 15th June 2014
The WRR trip to Wales is set and fully booked-up now.
Gill may be operating a waiting list in case of any drop outs, see her at training or contact her on facebook for more details.
April WRR Night Out - Fri 9th May 2014
Meet from 7:30pm at Red Lion Pub, Stockton Heath for a few drinks, all welcome. Let everyone else know you're going on facebook.
WRR Summer Handicap & Arley Mile Dates
We have now set dates for these races. Both races are free, club members only, events and form part of the club championship race series. There are club trophies up for grabs for the men & women winners at each race.

Club Presentation Evening, March 2014
The clubs annual presentation evening was held at the London Bridge Inn. This was a chance to celebrate the previous year of running and present the winners of various club trphoies. Also handed out where awards for standards achieved over the previous year and various bits of kit as part of the clubs incentive scheme.
