Cross Country - Walton Park, Liverpool

Description

This race is around open sports fields, all grass, and can be done in road shoes (trail shoes probably best) and is a very gentle introduction to cross country.

It is a rule of the league that you must wear a club vest.

How to get there

Meet Broomfields car park.

From Broomfields probably quickest is to pick up M56 to go over Runcorn/Widnes Bridge following for A562 take A5300 which links to either M62 or M57

  1. From M57 exit at J4 and follow for A580 (East Lancs Road).
  2. Follow for a couple of miles and the sports centre is on the right hand side just after going under an iron railway bridge.

OR: From M62 continue until end and take A5058. Follow for a few miles and taking a right turn into Walton Hall Avenue (A580) and the sports centre will be on left.

Plenty of parking at Walton Sports Centre, Walton Hall Avenue, Liverpool, Merseyside, L4 9XP.

Amenities

There are toilets and changing/showering facilities at the sports centre.
